David Thorp ( chairman) David has spent 30 years at 3i and ISIS Equity Partners and is a former chairman of the British Venture Capital Association. David is lead manager of the Baronsmead VCTs which have over 11,000 shareholders. He is an alumnus of the London Business School
Paul Atherton. NED. Paul was founder and MD of Queensgate Instruments between 1986 and 2000 when the company was bought by Nortel. Paul is a NED at Imperial College Innovations, executive chairman of Infinitesima and chairman of C2V BV in the Netherlands. He was a Governor of the London Business School until 2007 and an alumnus of the School.
John Bates NED. John was the founding MD of Sussex Place Ventures and is adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship at London Business School. John founded the Managing the Growing Business elective at the School and teaches New Venture Development.
Ian Laing. NED. Ian was principle investor in Milton Park Science Park , Oxford Asymmetry, Oxford Semiconductor, Phosphonics and other private companies. Ian is chairman of SQL Ltd which merged with the Oxford Trust in 2005 and manages the Oxford Investment Opportunity Network. In 2006 Ian invested in property company Stanhope and joined the board. He is a former deputy chairman of the Board of Governors of the London Business School and an alumnus of the School.
Martyn Williams. NED. Martyn was CEO of Bailey Newspaper Group, sold to Southern Newspapers in 1997, a former investment executive at 3i and a director of Robert Fleming Investment Bank. He is adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship at the London Business School .
